Video Growth Specialist
Responsibilities
Growth Strategy: Develop channel- and release-specific plans (premieres, Shorts, visualizers, lyric videos, catalog content) with clear subscriber, views, and watch time targets.
Optimization: Review and improve metadata, thumbnails, playlists, end screens, and overall channel structure. Manage Official Artist Channels (OACs) and their verification process.
Shorts and New Formats: Drive strategies around Shorts, livestreams, and collaborations to expand reach, particularly for emerging artists.
Artist and Label Relations: Serve as the main video point of contact for artist managers and artist teams, providing guidance and training on YouTube best practices.
Data and Reporting: Analyze YouTube Analytics and internal reports to identify opportunities, measure performance, and present insights to regional and global teams.
Collaboration with YouTube and Internal Teams: Coordinate with YouTube’s Partnerships team, A&R, Marketing, and Rights teams on campaigns, featuring opportunities, and Content ID-related matters.
Required Qualifications
- 3 to 5 years of experience in marketing, advertising, or the entertainment industry.
- Proven experience developing data-driven content strategies with measurable results.
- Strong understanding of the Southern Cone music scene, including urban, trap, RKT, cumbia, cuarteto, pop, rock, and folk music.
- Intermediate to advanced proficiency in Excel/Google Sheets; experience with Looker Studio or tools such as vidIQ or TubeBuddy is preferred.
- Intermediate English proficiency, as the global team operates in English; Portuguese is a plus.
- Self-driven, organized, and able to communicate effectively with artists and their teams.
Preferred Qualifications
- Experience managing or growing YouTube channels, ideally within the music industry, such as a distributor, record label, MCN, or agency.
- Knowledge of the YouTube algorithm, YouTube Studio, Analytics, and the monetization ecosystem.
- Experience working within an MCN and developing YouTube monetization strategies.
- Knowledge of asset types, including sound recordings, music videos, compositions, art tracks, and web assets, as well as experience handling claims, disputes, and ownership conflicts within Content ID.
- Experience in rights management.
- YouTube certifications, such as Music Certification or Content Ownership.
- Established network within the local music industry.
